Cross-Cultural 2 half-day sessions |
IRI's unique approach to cross-cultural involvement is derived from over 30 years of applied research in cultural adaptation and effectiveness. Based on the program designed for U.S. Marine Corps advisors, Preparation for Overseas Duty, the training enhances self awareness and adaptation. Each participant receives an anonymous motivational profile of his/her personality characteristics. Participants learn what they bring to a situation in terms of their own needs and strivings, and why they may interpret any situation from a personal frame of reference. The wisdom gained from this approach allows participants to become culture-wise and tolerant of differences between cultures and genders. Participants become aware of potential conflicts and develop adaptive mechanisms. This approach allows individuals from any cultural background to respond effectively during social exchange or critical transactions. |
Prudent Measures 2-day course |
Based on IRI's courses at the IBM Corporate Technical Institute and George Washington University, this two-day workshop develops the expertise to derive useful performance measures that support decision-making. Discussions explore the psychology of performance measurement and case studies review lessons learned the hard way. Participants engage in activities to enhance performance measures within their organization. More info |

Examples of organizational climate and customer satisfaction surveys are used to demonstrate common pitfalls.
